Hospitality Solutions, Inc., was originally formed in 2004 as Hospitality Management Solutions, Inc. (HMS) by its founder, Logan Coykendall. His goal in forming the company was to achieve long-term sustainable success through environmentally responsible project development, sound business practices and superior investment management based on a proven track record.

It started with the formation of a professional group of employees that are committed to develop and acquire high-quality hotel properties, as well as to provide dedicated hotel management services to both full-service and upscale select-service properties.  Under Mr. Coykendall’s leadership, this effective team has management and development experiences varying from quaint inns to luxury full service hotels.

Hospitality Solutions, Inc. started with the company’s first hotel management contract of the Hampton Inn Gatlinburg.  Since this contract, Hospitality Solutions has continued to grow to add several management contracts, as well as develop several projects throughout the Southeast.

In 2008, Hospitality Management Solutions broke ground on its first development project. The Hilton Garden Inn opened in 2008 and was the first LEED certified hotel in the state of Tennessee.  This pioneer property earned the development award from Hilton Worldwide and national recognition from the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

The Hospitality Management Solutions team also developed the Hampton Inn Pigeon Forge, which opened in June, 2012.  The name of the company was changed to Hospitality Solutions, Inc. in 2013.  Hospitality Solutions encompasses the company’s primary mission of on-going daily hotel operations as well as hotel development and project oversight.

Mr. Coykendall has the responsibility for all corporate functions and the management of the company’s portfolio of managed properties. In addition, Mr. Coykendall constantly works to expand strategic business relationships with owners and investors.

Mr. Thomas oversees the Operations for Hospitality Solutions, Inc. were he strives to maximize revenues through revenue management, and minimize expenses with initiatives and programs in order to bolster net profit for each client.

Project Manager/Engineering Specialist

Kent Nelson is responsible for development of maintenance, contractors and all aspects of engineering and special projects throughout the company’s hotels. Kent works to control, maintain and train all employees in safety, security and incident control.

Amelia Sweeney

Administrative Director

Amelia Sweeney came to the company with a background in the hospitality industry, administration, human resources and accounting. Her vast experience in administration started during a 23-year career as a Cryptologic Officer in the US Navy.

Cornelia Dobbins has over 16 years of experience in hospitality with the Hilton brand. She came to Gatlinburg from the Double Tree in Johnson City, where she maximized her skills in Sales and Marketing. She was selected for the Barbara Bejan General Manager of the Year 2014 for the entire Hilton Garden Inn Brand worldwide.

Accounts Payable

As a Sevier County native, Misty Townsend knows just about everyone in this county. She joined the Hospitality Solutions team in 2016 and is an integral part of our accounting team. A graduate of Sevier County High, she has worked in accounting for 20 years in both the construction and hospitality industries. She and her husband, Jason, have two sons, Brody and Braxton.

Controller

Paul Beanblossom joined Hospitality Solutions in 2017 as the controller. He began working in the hospitality industry in 2009 which has provided him with the knowledge of tax accounting and fund reconciliations. Paul has 4 children and 7 grandchildren.

Director of Revenue Management

Melissa Warwick joined Hospitality Solutions in late 2019 to develop the Revenue Management department and bring all Revenue Management functions in-house. As Director of Revenue Management, Melissa conducts both day-to-day revenue management operations and long-range revenue strategy to drive peak top line results, with a focus on strategic RevPAR growth.
